Good bye to 2009
It's time to say good bye to 2009. Personally 2009 is a year to remember for me. All my wishes and dream fullfilled in 2009 itself. I will remember this year for my entire life. I was promoted in the office and my financial conditions also improved. I constructed a house with the help of my family in Mysore. Me and my brother named our house after our god, Venkateshwara and our parents.
In general terms, 2009 was a mix of good and bad. The year ended sadly with the death of C.Ashwath and Vishnuvardhan. It's very difficult to fill the vaccum created by these 2 great kannadigas. In 2009, some of the kannadigas occupied top positions at the national level. SM Krishna became the first man from Karnataka to occupy External affairs minister post and even Veerappa Moily also occupied Law and Justice minister post. Nandan Nilakeni became the chairman for Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI). Umashri and Prakash Rai won national awards for Best actress and Best actor respectively. Mukhaputa and Gulabi talkies won so many international awards. Girish Kasaravalli directed Ghatashraddha was choosen as 10th best indian movie of the century and Girish Kasaravalli received South Asian Cinema Foundation's 'Excellence in Cinema' Crystal Globe Award. Pankaj advani and Mahesh Bhupathi continued their fine form for the entire year. Karnataka cricket team reached semi-finals of Ranji trophy after 11 domestic seasons.
Indians achieved many bigger things in 2009. A.R.Rahman and Rasool kutty won oscar awards. Indian cricket team ended the year as No.1 team in international cricket. Vijender singh became the first man from India to become No.1 boxer in the world. Saina Nehwal was in awesome form for the entire year.
Luckily there was no major terrorist attacks on India in 2009. There was a huge floods across Karnataka and Andra Pradesh. Rajashekar reddy and Telangana episodes were bad news. Reddy versus Yeddy for the game of power was unforgettable since peoples across Karnataka was hugely affected due to heavy floods. Instead of giving attention to flood affected peoples, these politicians were fighting for domination over CM "Khurchi"(Chair).
It will be challenging 2010 for me personally. My professional and personal career will take a new turn starting from this decade. As i written at the start of this post that 2009 will be a year to remember for my entire life.
